Video - Don't Panic
What "Don't Panic", the latest project developed by Angelo Di Mino (cello) and Alessandro Librio (violinist and violist), wants to pursue is to create a circumstance in which the space-time concept of performance and the concert can talk to each other.
Audiovisual facilities and performative elements invade and are invaded by the canons of the form-concert, creating a natural mix, which finds in the word "theater" its deepest roots.
It is here that the theater becomes simply a place, the place theater. On this thin line, of simultaneous breakage and fusion, the duo shows us through this rare formation, how their instruments and repertoire, have evolved structurally and linguistically through the centuries, citing pieces from baroque music such as Bach and Telemann, to Ravel, Schuloff and composers still living like Tanguy and the duo itself, all enriched by the addition of radical improvisation compositions.
The video are taken from the concert-performance "Don't Panic" by and with Alessandro Librio and Angelo Di Mino, with the collaboration of Alice Tatge, Giovanni Giannone and Giulio Tranchida on 7 August at the Teatro Gebel Hamed Erice Vetta.
The performance took place within the review Mammadrau 1, organized by company Ananke.
